Personal data protection policy
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is YU Construcciones S.A.S., tax ID (NIT) 901400072-5, registered at Calle 20 #12-32, floor 1, Downtown, Armenia, Quindío, Colombia. You can reach us at yuconstruccionessas@gmail.com or on +57 320 594 0466.
2. What data we collect
Only what you give us voluntarily so that we can reply:
- Contact form: full name, phone number, email address and the message you write.
- Quick quote tool: project type, approximate area, municipality, project stage, estimated start date, your name and any details you add.
- WhatsApp, phone or email: whatever you choose to share in the conversation.
This site uses no tracking cookies and no analytics tools, and builds no browsing profiles. The only information stored in your browser is your theme (light or dark) and language preference, which never leaves your device and does not identify you.
3. What we use it for
- Answering your enquiry and preparing the quote you asked for.
- Arranging the site visit, the budget and the follow-up of the works.
- Meeting the contractual, accounting and tax obligations that arise if you hire us.
- Responding to requests from authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for commercial purposes, and we will not send you marketing you did not ask for.
4. Third parties involved
Running this site relies on external services that, by their nature, process some of your data:
- FormSubmit handles the contact form submission and forwards the message to us by email. Its servers are located outside Colombia.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms), if you choose to write to us there. That conversation is also governed by the platform's own terms.
- GitHub Pages hosts this site and, like any web server, keeps technical logs of the requests it receives.
Using these services may involve transferring your data to countries other than Colombia. By submitting the form you authorise that transfer, which is necessary for us to receive and answer your message.
5. Your rights
As the data subject, Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 grants you the right to:
- Access, update and correct your personal data.
- Request proof of the authorisation you granted.
- Be informed about how your data has been used.
- File complaints with the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce.
- Withdraw your authorisation and request deletion of your data, where no legal or contractual duty requires us to keep it.
- Access your personal data free of charge.
6. How to exercise them
Write to yuconstruccionessas@gmail.com stating your name, a contact detail and what you are requesting. No special form is required and you do not need to justify your reasons.
- Enquiries are answered within ten (10) working days, extendable by five (5) more.
- Complaints are answered within fifteen (15) working days, extendable by eight (8) more.
If you ask us to delete your data, we will confirm it through the same channel.
7. How long we keep it
Data from an enquiry that does not lead to a contract is kept for as long as the commercial conversation lasts and up to two (2) years after the last contact, in case you resume the project. If we do sign a contract, the data related to the works is kept for the periods required by accounting, tax and construction warranty rules.
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information against unauthorised access or use, and the site is served encrypted over HTTPS. No system is infallible, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we can guarantee that we handle your data with the diligence the law requires.
9. Minors
This site is addressed to adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we find that we have received information from a minor without their guardians' authorisation, we will delete it.
10. Validity and changes
This policy is effective from 28 July 2026. If we amend it, we will publish the updated version at this same address and change the date in the heading. We suggest reviewing it before sending us new data.
If you have any doubt about how we handle your information, write to us: we would rather sort it out directly than have you go to the authority.
