Terms and conditions of use
1. Who we are
This website, yuconstructora.com, and its English, Portuguese, French and German versions belong to YU Construcciones S.A.S. (“YU”), tax ID (NIT) 901400072-5, registered at Calle 20 #12-32, piso 1, Sector Centro, Armenia, Quindío, Colombia. You can reach us at yuconstruccionessas@gmail.com or by phone and WhatsApp on +57 304 655 7120.
2. Acceptance
By browsing the site you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use it. Access is free of charge and requires no registration.
3. What this site is for
It is an informational site: it presents our services, the works we have carried out and the ways to contact us. It is not an online shop. No products are sold and no contracts are entered into through it, and we do not publish prices: each project is priced once we have seen the plot or the building.
4. Quotes, site visits and contracts
- No-obligation messages. The quick quote tool and the contact form only prepare a message for the engineer. Sending it does not bind either party.
- Site visit. Within Quindío it is free of charge. Outside the department, the terms are agreed before the visit.
- Quotes. They are delivered in writing, state how long they remain valid and are binding only on the terms they set out.
- Contract. The scope, price, timescales, payment terms, warranties and insurance and surety bonds of each project are governed by the written contract that is signed. That contract prevails over any information published on the site.
- Response times. Those we mention, such as replying within 24 business hours, are our usual service commitment, not a contractual deadline.
5. Guidance content
The guides (earthquake damage, building from abroad, the guide for foreigners), the frequently asked questions and the other explanatory texts are general guidance written by a construction company. They do not replace legal, tax, foreign-exchange or immigration advice, nor a signed structural opinion issued after an on-site inspection. The official assessment of earthquake damage falls to each municipality's disaster risk management office. Rules and procedures change: before making a decision, check them with the relevant authority or professional.
6. Projects, photographs and figures
The photographs on the site show works carried out by YU. The figures — number of projects, years of experience, departments served — reflect the company's information as of the date of publication. The photographs illustrate work already done and do not constitute an offer: each project is defined in its own contract.
7. Customer reviews
The reviews on the home page come from YU's public Google listing and express the opinions of their authors. We show excerpts with the reviewer's first name and the initial of their surname, as they appear on Google; we correct spelling only, and in the other languages the translations are our own. We do not publish made-up reviews or alter their meaning. The full, current versions can be read on Google.
8. Intellectual property
- The texts, the project photographs, the logo and the YU trademark belong to YU Construcciones S.A.S. or are used with the authorisation of their owners.
- The design and development of the site are the work of Dr. Mauricio Rodríguez Herrera, as explained in the next section.
- You may share links to the site and quote short excerpts, citing the source. Any other reproduction, in whole or in part, for commercial purposes requires written authorisation.
- Google, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok are trademarks of their respective owners. We mention them only to identify external services; their appearance does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
9. Website authorship
This site was conceived, designed and developed by Dr. Mauricio Rodríguez Herrera, author of its visual design, its content architecture, its programming, its versions in five languages and its search engine optimisation. Under Colombian Law 23 of 1982 and Andean Community Decision 351 of 1993, his moral right to be credited as the author is recognised, and that right cannot be waived. The content supplied by the company — photographs, corporate information and logo — belongs to YU Construcciones S.A.S. The economic rights over the site are governed by what the author and the company have agreed.
10. Third-party services and links
The site links to or relies on third-party services: WhatsApp for conversations, Google Maps for the map (which only loads if you ask for it), the Google listing for reviews, FormSubmit for the form, and our social media accounts. When you use them, their own terms and privacy policies apply. YU does not control those services and is not responsible for their content or availability.
11. Proper use
When using the site, you agree not to:
- use it for unlawful purposes or for purposes contrary to these terms;
- attempt to access its systems without authorisation or interfere with how it works;
- submit false information, or other people's data without their authorisation;
- use automated programs to submit forms or send bulk messages.
12. Liability
We do our best to keep the information on the site accurate and up to date, but it may contain errors or become outdated, and the site may be unavailable during maintenance. YU is not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of the guidance content without the appropriate professional advice, nor for failures of third-party services. None of the above limits the rights granted to you by Law 1480 of 2011 (Colombian Consumer Protection Statute), or any liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.
13. Personal data
The processing of the data you give us is governed by our personal data protection policy, in accordance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012.
14. Languages
The site is published in Spanish, English, Portuguese, French and German. If there are any differences between versions, the Spanish version prevails. We reply in writing in all five languages; calls are in Spanish, or in English by prior appointment. Contracts and official documents are drawn up in Spanish.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Colombian law. The data messages we exchange — email, form, WhatsApp — have the legal effect that Law 527 of 1999 gives them. If any disagreement arises, we will first seek to settle it directly; if that is not possible, the courts of Armenia, Quindío, will have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the consumer's right to turn to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC) or to any court the law allows.
16. Validity and changes
This version is effective from 8 October 2026. If we amend it, we will publish the new version at this same address and change the date in the heading.
If you have any questions about these terms, write to us: we would rather clear them up directly.
